ChatGPT as an educational tool in the Bachelor of Nursing: students' perspectives.
Abstract
The objective of this research is to evaluate the relationship of benefits and drawbacks for the use of ChatGPT as an educational tool in the learning process by age, sex, place of residence and school grade in Bachelor of Nursing students. A questionnaire was used with 17 items of perception of pros and cons and four sociodemographic questions. The design used was transversal, descriptive and correlational. Women predominated (80.4%), fourth graders (70.9%), residents of Mazatlán (96.7%) with an average age of 19.60. There was significance in benefits and drawbacks of using ChatGPT (p<.01), 22.2% perceived few benefits and 55.6% perceived many drawbacks. There were associations between benefits and drawbacks when using ChatGPT, but not with the sociodemographic variables of the students (p=>.05).
