Analysis of the characteristics of food and beverage businesses in the Quero canton, province of Tungurahua
Abstract
Ecuador, a small but megadiverse country, presents a rich gastronomic variety in each province, including the canton of Quero in Tungurahua. This qualitative study, focused on the local gastronomy of Quero, seeks to address the lack of dissemination of its culinary offerings and its impact on tourism. The research, with a cross-sectional design and descriptive approach, uses data collection techniques to create a detailed gastronomic guide. The methodology includes bibliographic and field research, with data obtained in libraries and through contact with local experts. The findings highlight the need to improve tourism promotion to foster the development of the canton. This research provides tools to optimize decisions in tourism management and territorial development in Quero
