Social representations of transcultural care and transcultural competencies in nursing students from Sinaloa and Nayarit, Mexico.
Abstract
In order to determine the social representations of transcultural care and the transcultural competencies of nursing students from Sinaloa and Nayarit, a structural approach was used through natural semantic networks for social representations. The results determined the figurative core of the representation of transcultural care: diversity, interculturality and care, as well as respect, care, empathy and dignified treatment, also the figurative center of the social representations of transcultural competencies: culture, communication and social context, as well as cultural beliefs, dignified, humanized treatment and empathy.
