Abstract
Academic stress is a common response in college students due to high academic demands, performance pressure, and time management. This situation can affect their emotional well-being and performance but also influence their level of commitment to their studies. The aim of the study was to describe stress and academic commitment in college students. It was a descriptive design with a sample made up of 287 college students. The results reported high stress in students (68.9%) and more than 65% of students are committed to their career. Providing spaces for self-care and healthy stress management can strengthen students' mental health, promoting their university commitment.
