Environmental education and carbon footprint. Knowledge and attitudes of students and their greenhouse gas emissions.
Abstract
This study analyzes the relationship between the carbon footprint and the knowledge and attitude characteristics of engineering students from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, by calculating their greenhouse gas emissions. This connection is examined to assess the impact of theory and actions on the environment, seeking to foster education and promote a sustainable lifestyle. The carbon footprint of the study population was measured and a test was applied that assessed knowledge, attitudes and practices related to environmental issues, sustainability and recycling.
