Economic dynamism of the South-Southeast of Mexico: A longitudinal study.
Abstract
The document presents an analysis of the recent economic dynamism of the South-Southeast region of Mexico. It proposes a review of its performance in comparison with the rest of the regions of the country, through the study of four variables: exports, paid jobs, Gross Domestic Product by Entity (GDP) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The period analyzed covers from 2007 to 2023, based on the information available in the information systems of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), the Ministry of Economy (SE) and the Bank of Mexico (BM), mainly. A descriptive analysis is carried out to facilitate the identification of the impact of external economic events on regional development.
