The role and training of families in early language stimulation for child development.
Abstract
Early childhood, from 0 to 3 years, is fundamental because it establishes the neurological, cognitive, emotional, and social foundations that will support later learning. The purpose of this study is to identify families' knowledge about early stimulation and the interactions they promote at home to foster language development in infants from 0 to 3 years old. The approach was qualitative with a phenomenological design, developing the focus group technique with the support of a semi-structured interview. Analysis was performed using thematic coding in MAXQDA. The results are presented in categories related to families' prior knowledge, the frequency of stimulating interactions, and obstacles to stimulation at home.
