Dual Education and Rural Development Education Brigades as educational innovation strategies in Puebla, Mexico.

Abstract

Rural education faces the challenge of addressing the educational, productive, and social needs of communities. This study analyzed two educational innovation experiences in Puebla, Mexico: the implementation of the Mexican Dual Education Model at CBTA No. 305 in Molcaxac and the activities carried out by Rural Development Education Brigade No. 39 in San Jerónimo Almoloya, Cuautinchán. Using a qualitative approach and case study methodology, the research examined school-enterprise linkage, as well as training, technical assistance, technology transfer, and the promotion of agroecological practices. The results show that both strategies strengthen local capacities, institutional linkages, and sustainable rural development, contributing to comprehensive education and community well-being.
