Critical success factors in e-government: a study in northeastern Mexico.
Abstract
E-government has established itself as a key strategy for modernizing public administration through information technologies. This research identifies the critical success factors influencing the adoption of e-government services by citizens in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. Through an exploratory factor analysis conducted with 239 citizens, five factors were identified: a) Satisfaction and Adoption, b) Trust, c) Transparency, d) Service Quality, and e) Accountability. The results explain 62.19% of the total variance, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.940. The findings provide empirical evidence to inform the design of public policies aimed at strengthening government digital transformation in emerging economies.
