Abstract

Academic dropout in higher education poses a challenge for government administration, particularly regarding students from rural areas, specific communities, and contexts of regional inequality. This research aims to examine the relationship between government administration and academic dropout by analyzing implemented public policies and identifying their primary shortcomings; to this end, a qualitative methodology is employed, based on bibliographic analysis and a review of scientific literature and current regulations. The findings highlight the need to strengthen government administration through a public policy proposal designed to help reduce academic dropout among students facing regional inequality.
